Licking County Library
In 2012, Sophisticated Systems was asked to conduct a comprehensive assessment for Licking County Library which identified a number of risks varying in severity ranging from licensing concerns and outdated software to misconfigured and failing hardware and wireless systems to insufficient infrastructure equipment and even an unsecure internal network and connectivity issues between the branches. Sophisticated Systems was able to rectify these issues and save the library more than $10,000 by leveraging relationships with trusted third-party vendors.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Supporting this Central Ohio non-profit for more than 10 years, Sophisticated Systems (SSI) has supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio (BBBS) through a number of technology challenges providing consultation and guidance regarding the organization’s needs as well as planning and execution of its IT strategy. When BBBS was faced with the retirement of a longtime, valuable technical resource, SSI provided an on-site presence to make sure the organization was fully supported while also conducting a search and eventually securing a replacement.
Medical Center Project
Serving a Central-Ohio University Medical Center for nearly a decade and deploying an average of 3500 devices per year, we were approached in 2014 to scale our services to accommodate the opening of a new state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility. The facility, boasting more than 21 floors and 1.1 million square feet, required that more than 10,000 devices be deployed over the course of six months in conjunction with the construction of the facility. Our team worked closley with medical center staff to ensure the project was completed on-time and on-budget with a better than 99 percent success rate.

Libraries We Serve
Sophisticated Systems provides ongoing support to six library systems with 17 locations across Ohio. We have a unique understanding of the challenges libraries face including a lack of skilled IT staff, management of multiple branches and the need to cost-effectively procure technology. Our team has successfully performed a number of services for library systems including: Assessments, Server and Network Design and Implementation, Managed IT Services, Virtualization, Wireless Network Implementation, and a variety of other services and solutions. We have also helped navigate programs such as E-rate and have leveraged relationships with our technology partners which have resulted in significant savings for our clients.
Perry County District Library
A rural library system serving approximately 35,000 patrons, Perry County District Library (PCDL) was struggling with various technology issues and had reached out to us at the suggestion of Licking County Library who had experienced significant results working with Sophisticated Systems. PCDL had been experiencing 60 -70 percent downtime and had hundreds of unresolved tickets. After conducting a comprehensive assessment, Sophisticated Systems’ team worked with PCDL to implement the recommendations and develop a roadmap that allowed them to achieve the security and functionality needed while working within budgetary constraints.
